"The original Fergus painting was a huge canvas and bought by a private collector in Northants who has several pieces of mine. It wasn't a commission, it was originally painted as a gallery piece, so I didn't know Fergus was going to appear on the canvas when I started the painting. I never know how these highland cow paintings are quite going to turn out, but the characters certainly seem to keep on appearing! As soon as the character emerges, a name follows quite quickly!"SF
